A Memorandum of Understanding between the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan and Association of the Chartered Certified Accountants was signed by Commissioner IEIRD, SECP Mr. Akif Saeed and CEO ACCA, UK, Ms. Helen Brand at the SECP’s head office in Islamabad. The ACCA delegation was led by Ms. Helen Brand, CEO ACCA UK, accompanied by ACCA council members. HOD/Director IEIRD, Ms. Khalida Habib underlined numerous activities that are being done to promote financial awareness for both existing and prospective investors while also sharing the milestones achieved so far. Ms. Helen appreciated SECP’s ongoing efforts for creating financial literacy and also showed her joy over offering annual scholarships to SECP employees and a complete set of ACCA curriculum. Mr. Akif thanked Ms. Helen for both gifts and encouraged the ties between SECP and ACCA while also accentuating the need of adopting the latest international trends of corporate governance. The MoU is another step forward regarding the on-going Investor Awareness activities of Jamapunji.
